Yorkshire Building Society has announced the appointment of James Mack as its new Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, subject to regulatory approval.
With over 20 years’ experience in financial services, he is currently Chief Executive Officer at John Lewis Money and previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Barclays UK and Aldermore, as well as senior roles at The Co-operative Banking Group and Skipton Building Society. He is also Senior Independent Director and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of LSL Property Services plc.

James is due to take up the role at the beginning of 2027. The Society announced in July that Lyndon Horwell, Group Treasurer, will serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer from 1 October.
