West One has expanded its Short-term Division sales team with the appointment of four new hires as the lender continues to build on a strong year for its bridging loan proposition.

The new appointments include Niamh Downey as Head of Internal Sales, Lux Mathiy as Telephone Business Development Manager, Vijay Varu as Business Development Executive covering east London and Essex, and Hanz Rameez as Telephone Business Development Executive for the North and Scotland.

The appointments come as West One continues to invest in its Short-term Division, having already completed more than £500 million of bridging finance this year. The expanded sales team will primarily support brokers access the lender's bridging proposition, helping intermediaries access specialist short-term funding solutions for an increasingly diverse range of client requirements.

Downey joins the business with significant experience in specialist finance, having previously managed the internal sales team at Bluestone, bringing valuable leadership expertise to West One's growing sales function.

The latest hires form part of West One's ongoing investment in its people and business development strategy.

Tom Cantor, Co-head of West One’s Short-term Division said, “We've had a fantastic year so far, with more than half a billion Pounds of bridging loan originations. Bringing in talented people like this is another step towards growth as we look to build the industry’s strongest sales team.”

Jez Quinn, Head of Short-term Sales at West One, added, “I'm really pleased to welcome Niamh, Lux, Vijay and Hanz to the team. There’s a clear evolution happening within our sales team, which is scaling our capacity and ensuring that we can keep delivering fantastic results for brokers and clients alike.”
