Target Group has announced the appointment of Carla Stent as a Non-Executive Director, further strengthening the experience and expertise of its Board.
Carla's appointment follows the recent addition of Paul Lynam to the Board and reflects Target's continued focus on ensuring it has the right blend of skills, experience and independent oversight to support its future growth ambitions.
Carla brings a wealth of executive and non-executive experience gained across financial services, technology, retail and travel. Throughout her career, she has held a range of senior leadership positions with organisations including Virgin Group, Barclays and Thomas Cook, serving in Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and other strategic leadership roles. Her experience spans finance, operations, technology, customer outcomes and business transformation across complex, highly regulated organisations.
Today, Carla serves on the boards of several major organisations, including Telecom Plus (Utility Warehouse) and HBX Group, where she provides oversight across areas such as risk, governance, audit, strategy and business transformation.
Known for her ability to guide organisations through periods of growth and change, Carla has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to boards and executive teams. Alongside her extensive boardroom experience, she is recognised for her commitment to leadership development, helping organisations build strong, high-performing cultures while delivering sustainable business success.
In addition to her board responsibilities, Carla is passionate about mentoring and developing future leaders and is a strong advocate for diversity, inclusion and positive organisational culture. Reflecting this commitment, she is currently completing a professional qualification in Executive Coaching at Henley Business School.
