Yorkshire Building Society has appointed Catherine Mather and Sophia Kettle to senior leadership roles within its Homes division, bringing significant residential and specialist lending experience as the Society invests in the next stage of its mortgage strategy.
The appointments follow the recent announcement of Amanda Bryden as Director of Distribution and further strengthens the leadership team being built across Homes and Accord Mortgages.
Catherine will lead residential mortgages, with responsibility for developing the Society’s proposition and customer experience. Sophia will lead buy-to-let, supporting the Society’s ambition to strengthen and grow its specialist lending offer.
Catherine brings extensive industry experience, including senior leadership roles at NatWest, with a strong track record across mortgages, customer journeys, customer servicing and business transformation. Sophia joins from LendInvest, where she progressed to Commercial Director, bringing extensive experience across mortgage distribution, buy-to-let and specialist lending.
Tom Simpson, Managing Director of Homes at Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We are building a Homes leadership team with deep mortgage experience, fresh thinking and clear accountability for the markets we serve.
“Catherine brings extensive experience of improving residential mortgage propositions and customer journeys at scale, while Sophia combines deep buy-to-let knowledge with strong commercial and intermediary experience.
“Together with Amanda’s appointment to lead distribution, they significantly strengthen our leadership across Homes. This gives us greater depth and experience to turn our plans into better propositions, more responsive service and improved outcomes for customers and brokers.”
