Delancey, a leading UK-focussed investment, asset, and development manager, has appointed Emma Murray as Director, Capital Strategies.
In her new role, Murray will work across all Delancey’s capital strategies spanning both debt and equity, supporting existing mandates as well as new opportunities and separately managed accounts (SMAs).
Focused on business development, she will help deepen Delancey’s institutional relationships. Emma joins Delancey as the firm continues its growth trajectory, expanding both its investment and capital strategy activities across the real estate spectrum.
Alongside equity strategies and SMAs across the return spectrum, Delancey has further strengthened its real estate credit platform with the launch of lending vehicle AlbionArc Capital. Other recent notable milestones include:
- A growing equity mandate from a leading UK pension fund.
- A £1bn strategic partnership with Australian superannuation fund Aware Super to invest in UK commercial property, with an initial focus on Central London offices.
- A real estate lending partnership with Cynergy Bank.
Murray joins Delancey from Fiera Real Estate, where she served as Director of Business Development and Capital Raising since 2015. During her tenure, she was responsible for raising £2.1bn for both UK-only and pan-European strategies, managing institutional relationships including pensions funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, and consultants.
Murray’s appointment follows Lesley Davison rejoining Delancey as Managing Director of Capital Markets in March this year. She had previously been with Delancey for 14 years, having oversight of all third-party financing for Delancey and JV investments.
Emma Murray, Director, Capital Strategies at Delancey, said: “With an expanding real estate equity and credit platform, and full lifecycle capabilities, Delancey has rightly built an outstanding reputation as a UK specialist and partner of choice for domestic and global institutional capital. I’m thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time for the business, helping grow an already world-class client base.”
Stafford Lancaster, CEO of Delancey, said: “Emma’s experience and skill in developing and shaping fund strategies will be invaluable as we aim to build on our recent momentum and establish ourselves as a ‘one-stop shop’ for global investors wanting to access opportunities across UK real estate.”
