Broadstone Lending Advisory Services has grown its senior business development capability with the appointment of two experienced banking professionals as demand grows for independent advisory services that help lenders, investors and funding providers build confidence in an increasingly complex market.
Leo Brooks and Megan Ueltschy Scheps join Broadstone Lending Advisory Services as Senior Business Development Managers, bringing more than four decades of combined experience across commercial banking, credit, structured finance, governance and relationship management.
The appointments come as banks, specialist lenders, private credit providers and institutional investors place greater emphasis on operational resilience, portfolio quality and governance following a period of heightened scrutiny across the lending market.
Leo Brooks has more than 25 years' experience in banking, credit risk, portfolio management and regulatory remediation, having held senior positions with HSBC, AIB, Clydesdale Bank and FSE Group. His experience spans commercial lending, distressed assets, governance and FCA remediation programmes.
Megan Ueltschy Scheps joins following a senior corporate banking career in the United States where she held Managing Director level positions leading relationship management, structured finance and commercial banking teams before relocating to the UK. She has extensive experience managing complex corporate relationships, portfolio growth and strategic partnerships.
John Barbour, Senior Director at Broadstone Lending Advisory Services, commented: "The lending market has evolved considerably over the past few years. Access to capital remains important but confidence has become equally valuable. Investors, funders and lenders want independent assurance that businesses are well governed, operationally resilient and capable of managing increasingly sophisticated lending environments.
"We have seen significant growth in demand for advisory services that strengthen confidence across the market, whether through due diligence, governance reviews, portfolio assurance or operational transformation.
"Leo and Megan bring outstanding banking experience from two different markets but share the same consultative approach that has become central to our business. Their combined expertise further strengthens our ability to support clients as they navigate an increasingly demanding commercial and regulatory landscape."
Leo Brooks, Senior Business Development Manager at Broadstone Lending Advisory Services, said: "Broadstone Lending Advisory Services has established an excellent reputation for helping organisations improve confidence rather than simply identify problems, and that approach really appealed to me. I am looking forward to working with lenders, investors and funding partners at a time when independent advice has never been more valuable."
Megan Ueltschy Scheps, Senior Business Development Manager at Broadstone Lending Advisory Services, added: "The financial services market continues to place greater value on experience, judgement and trusted relationships. Broadstone Lending Advisory Services combines deep technical expertise with a genuinely collaborative approach that enables clients to solve complex challenges while strengthening long term confidence. It is an exciting time to join the business and contribute to its continued growth."
Broadstone Lending Advisory Services works with banks, specialist lenders, private credit providers, institutional investors and financial institutions across lending strategy, governance, due diligence, operational resilience and portfolio assurance, helping organisations grow safely while strengthening confidence throughout the lending ecosystem.
