SME funding provider Asset Advantage has announced the introduction of electronic signatures for deals up to £100,000, marking a further step in its ongoing investment strategy to strengthen its proposition and improve efficiency.
The enhancement removes the need for brokers to provide a wet signature on finance agreements or across a wide range of supporting documents. The shift to digital is designed to streamline the funding process and reduce friction for brokers and their SME clients.
Electronic signatures are available across business loans and asset finance transactions where the total payout is a maximum of £100,000. The new capability is expected to support faster completions and help deliver a smoother overall experience.
The news follows the recent appointment of two new additional staff to key internal departments, as well as investments in new systems and processes, and the launch of new finance products. It is all part of Asset Advantage’s investment in growth as it looks to best serve commercial finance brokers and meet increasing demand for business finance among SMEs.
Asset Advantage has been providing business finance for nearly two decades through asset finance and business loans, with funding starting at £75,000 and available up to £500,000. Alongside securing both hard and soft assets, funding is typically used for a wide variety of business cases such as expansion, business acquisition, new starts and management buy-outs/ins (MBOs & MBIs). Asset Advantage remains flexible on sectors and asset type, providing both debt serviceability and risk profiles remain strong.
Gary Thompson, sales director at Asset Advantage, said: “Introducing e-signatures is a direct response to feedback from our brokers and reflects our commitment to making business finance faster and more efficient for all parties. By focusing initially on facilities up to £100k, we’re enabling faster completion of deals in a measured and methodical way – facilitating speedier transactions in a critical segment of the market, while maintaining our renowned human touch with high quality underwriting and, when required, direct interaction with the end user.
“This is one of a number of improvements we are making to strengthen our proposition and improve the broker experience. Driving efficiencies in application only bolsters our longstanding approach to flexible and pragmatic funding, helping commercial brokers deliver on non-standard, growth-focused transactions.”
