S&U PLC, parent company of Aspen, has secured £900m in funding. This comprises of £650m of new debt facilities, provided by two Tier 1 UK financial institutions, together with £250m in Group equity.

The facilities give Aspen significant financial firepower to pursue new lending opportunities and scale its bridging, buy-to-let and development loan book.

In September 2026, Aspen surpassed £1 billion in total lending since it’s inception in 2017 during which time it has funded the refurbishment and development of over 3,000 units.

The increase in funding will also support S&U’s expansion in the specialist finance market in auto finance via its subsidiary Advantage.

Jack Coombs, Chief Operating Officer at FTSE-listed S&U PLC, parent company of Aspen, said: “These facilities substantially increase our scope for lending and the message we have to the market is simple - Aspen is here and in a better position than ever to support brokers and fund their borrowers’ projects across England and Wales.”
