Armalytix, the multi-award-winning intelligence firm delivering precision client information for AML, affordability and more, has appointed Arvin Razon as its first dedicated Head of Legal and Compliance, a move that underpins the company's ambition to be the trusted compliance infrastructure for the UK property sector as it scales across conveyancing, lending and estate agency, helping property professionals move transactions forward with confidence, and home movers complete their purchase with fewer delays.

The appointment comes as Armalytix deepens its regulatory footprint. As an FCA-registered Account Information Service Provider for seven years, the company has built a compliance framework that now needs to evolve in step with its growth across Open Banking, identity verification and Source of Funds products. Arvin's arrival gives Armalytix a senior, dedicated voice on regulation and risk, freeing the business to move faster for clients while deepening the trust conveyancers, lenders and brokers place in its platform.

Arvin brings more than ten years of experience building and leading legal and compliance functions across Open Banking, payments and fintech. He is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, also qualified to practise in Australia and the Philippines, and holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge (Judge Business School), a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines. He is a Fellow of Information Privacy with the International Association of Privacy Professionals, with further certifications in artificial intelligence governance, privacy management, US and European privacy law and cybersecurity.

He joins from senior legal and compliance leadership roles at Paddle, Thought Machine, Brankas and ING Bank, having served as Data Protection Officer across all his previous roles. His experience spans FCA and equivalent regulatory frameworks, UK GDPR, AML and KYC programme design, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS compliance, and commercial contracting, working with regulators including the FCA and ICO, and their counterparts in Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. He has represented previous employers at industry working groups and regulatory consultations, and having extensively published on AI governance and data protection, assesses postgraduate courses on the subject at the London School of Economics.

In his new role, Arvin will take ownership of Armalytix's compliance framework, shaping its next phase as the company scales across the UK property and legal sector. His remit spans FCA compliance and horizon scanning, UK GDPR and international data transfers, AML and KYC oversight, and the company's ISO 27001 certification and DIATF digital identity certifications. He will act as Armalytix's primary point of contact with the FCA and ICO, and will represent the company at industry forums and regulatory consultations to influence the policy debate around Open Banking and digital identity as it affects conveyancers, lenders and brokers.

Beyond regulation, he will lead Armalytix's commercial legal work, from contract review to supplier and partnership agreements, and will advise the leadership team on legal and regulatory risk as the business grows.

The appointment reflects Armalytix's broader commitment to operational excellence: as client volumes grow and regulatory scrutiny intensifies, the company is investing in the expertise needed to keep verification fast, accurate and dependable at scale, without compromising compliance standards.

Richard McCall, CEO at Armalytix, says:

"Armalytix sits at the vanguard of driving real change in property data and pushing Open Banking forward into Open Finance, and our clients need to know that the foundations underneath our platform are as robust as the products themselves. Arvin's experience building compliance functions inside high-growth fintechs, combined with his regulatory relationships and his understanding of data and AI policy, means we now have that dedicated expertise in-house to help us keep raising the bar on our rigour and service excellence. Compliance has been at the core of Armalytix since day one, and this is about making sure our growth never outpaces our governance, and the legal and property professionals we work with, and the home movers relying on them, can trust us as the sector's compliance backbone.”

Arvin Razon comments:

"Armalytix is at an increasingly important intersection of Open Banking, identity and financial crime prevention, as the property sector moves to modernise risk verification. I'm looking forward to building on the strong compliance foundations already in place at Armalytix, and sharing our expertise and experience in shaping how Open Banking and digital identity are further developed and standardised in regulatory, policy and industry conversations across the conveyancing, lending and estate agency sectors in the years ahead.”
